The KIDFIX² S is a 2-in-1 child seat that can also be used as a booster seat without backrest. It has everything you would expect from a 2-3 group child seat and is very flexible at the same time.
The SecureGuard protects the child's abdomen and also prevents the belt from slipping. According to an internal Britax Römer test, it reduces the impact forces by up to 35%; these were carried out with a Q6 dummy.

The KIDFIX² S can be used as a child seat with a fixed backrest as of approx. 3.5 years of age. There it can be used with Isofix and the 3-point vehicle seat belt or only with the 3-point vehicle seat belt. Thanks to the SICT side impact protection technology, which is easy to unscrew and thus significantly reduces forces, it offers optimum protection in the event of a side impact.

Once the child is 136 cm tall, the backrest of the KIDFIX² S can be removed and used as a booster seat. There it is additionally secured with a belt clip and the SecureGuard.

Info: A version of the KIDFIX² R/ S was tested with the Euro NCAP 2017 both child seat with high backrest and only as a booster seat in a Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Mercedes-Benz received the maximum EuroNCAP rating of 5 stars, which also includes a child safety star.
